Mia Neil

What brought you to the ADAC?

Hubby bought me a 3-month membership for my birthday in 2013 (Maybe his gentle indirect attempt at telling me I needed to get my butt to the gym? J ) and I have been faithfully committed to Gym ever since.

What is your favorite thing to do at the club?

HydroMassage! It’s my reward at the end of every workout

What is your normal workout routine for a week?

On average, I’m here every day J Between TRX with Charles, personal training with Aron, weight lifting, cardio, hydromassage and sauna, it feels that 7 days a week is not enough!

What fitness goals or milestones have you achieved here at the gym or elsewhere?

I can do pushups and pull ups!! I couldn’t even do 1.

After gaining 65lbs with my first baby, 45lbs with my second, and stabilizing at 25% body fat, Im now back to my pre-pregnancy weight with 16% body fat. Im still a work in progress and hoping to get down to 14% by the summer.
I feel amazing, more toned and lighter on my feet; I eat healthier, sleep better and feel happier.

 What are you eating?

I have never been into junk/fast food, I eat lots of Mediterranean food that I cook myself. I keep my diet diverse while watching my macros. I use myFitnessPal to keep track.

What’s your guilty pleasure?  Ah, Chocolate and Almonds. I could live on them.

What cause do you champion? Helping educate women about health and fitness, especially teenagers and young adults.

What hobbies do you have? Working out and spending time with my boys (Now 5 and 4 yo)

How would you make the world a better place? Getting my inactive friends and family into the gym, one at a time J I believe that once you are actively working out, your diet will automatically adjust.

Favorite author? I honestly don’t know any authors anymore lol. I used to be a lover of books until graduate school when I had to read over 100 publications a month. I haven’t read a book since then. Shame!

Favorite actor/actress? Denzel Washington has long been my favorite. He has never disappoints me!

Favorite musical artist? Shakira. Excellent voice, humble, great mom, awesome physique and she’s half lebanese. Beautiful all around.

Favorite song? I Will Survive, Gloria Ganor

What’s on your Ipod? Hip-hop, Rap, Lebanese and French music.

Favorite TV show? Oh there are so many; Scandal, Single Ladies, Empire, Grey’s Anatomy, Suits, Revenge.

Favorite sport or sports team? Soccer; I’ve cheered for Germany since middle school, they won the world cup last year!

Favorite store? ModeAlise in Worthington Mall. She has the most unique clothes!

Favorite food(s)? Mediterranean cuisine, of course! Growing up in lebannon; hummus, tabbouli, falafel and kabob was our peanut butter & Jelly and Mac & cheese.
