Positive dietary habits promote health

Positive dietary habits promote health, whereas unfavorable habits are linked to various chronic diseases.

Family meals are associated with positive dietary intakes and healthy behaviors. Family interaction can lower risk for obesity, enhance language skills and academic performance, and improve social skills!

A family who eats together, stays together!

Me visiting my local organic farm in Sunbury, Ohio

————————————————————————————–

Benefits of Organic Farming: fresh with better taste; higher content of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants; no genetically modified organisms (GMOs); decreased risk of allergic reactions; farming methods are better for the environment: natural fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides are used; animals are given organic feed and are allowed to access the outdoors -preventive measures are used — such as rotational grazing, a balanced diet and clean housing — to help minimize disease. Use www.localharvest.org/ to find an Organic Farmer near you! Visit your local farm and meet the farmer! It is important to know where your food comes from!
