Take a Minute for Breakfast
Busy morning schedules are often at the top of the list of why most people skip breakfast. Since the body has gone into a fast after sleeping for the night, it is essential to replenish the body’s glucose supply which helps to refuel the brain. It has been found that those who eat breakfast tend to have more strength, energy, and are more focused on daily tasks. Try beginning your day with one of the following suggestions:
- Ready-to-eat cereal topped with sliced banana and yogurt
- Bran muffin and yogurt topped with berries
- Peanut butter or hummus on whole wheat toast and milk
- Cheese pizza and a glass of orange juice
- Toasted whole wheat waffle topped with fruit and yogurt
- Lean ham on an English muffin with vegetable juice
- Breakfast wrap
If your taste buds do not crave any of the common breakfast foods, try eating a sandwich or last night’s leftovers.
